We look after our residents in the best way possible, in a warm and friendly home-
We regard each person as unique and special. We recognise everyone’s right to air their views, voice their opinions, and make choices. We also believe they should be informed of their condition, and be given help in understanding how to accept their assessed care needs.
An important part of our philosophy includes the provision of high quality care, with respect for the privacy and dignity of each individual being of the utmost importance. Care plans are created from an assessment of individual needs, ensuring the retention of dignity, whilst offering as much independence as possible.
Above all, we strive to create a Care Home, which is warm, friendly, comfortable, safe and secure, so that those who are living with us can retain their individuality. We encourage our residents to do things for themselves, wherever possible, instead of making them unnecessarily reliant on others. Redecorating their bedrooms, helping to tend our gardens, or making themselves busy in our kitchen are just some of the ways in which our residents are able to express themselves, at the same time giving them the opportunity to feel useful and a part of the community.
We are also aware of the spiritual requirements of the individual and act accordingly to ensure these needs are met. Our local priest conducts a simple religious service once a month for those who wish to attend.
